MPL-PH Season 4


After three successful seasons, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines developed into a medium where players can establish their legacies and storylines. The league’s most loyal fans are witnesses to this high-level esports experience. As the tournament enters a new season, it bears with it no longer just pros-in-the-making but fully-fledged legends.

Registrations are only open until July 22, 12 noon. The open qualifier rounds will be played from July 24-25 so block the date!

TOURNAMENT ROAD MAP

 

  • The top four (4) from the open qualifier will receive $100 and get to play in a LIVE (offline) main qualifiers on July 28.
  • The two (2) winners from the main qualifiers will join last season’s final eight in the 6-week regular season (August 10 – September 15) and play every weekend in front of a live studio audience.
  • Out of the ten teams in the regular season, only a final eight (8) will go to the playoffs on October 5-6, at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019 Mobile Legends Corporate League

MANILA, Philippines, May 30, 2019 — As part of this second season of the Philippine Pro Gaming League 2019, Globe Telecom and MET Events have announced a special Mobile Legends: Bang Bang corporate league.

Aspiring competitive gamers and avid fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from offices across the Philippines can join this leg of the PPGL for a chance to represent their companies. At least four out of the five players in a registering team should be full-time employees of the same company so gather the best gamers in your office and join now!

The schedule of the tournament is as follows:

  • Registration Open: July 1, 2019
  • Qualifier 1: July 27, 2019
  • Qualifier 2: July 28, 2019
  • Group Stage: August 3, 2019
  • Grand Finals: TBA

The two (2) top placing teams in the league will advance Singtel’s PVP Regional Corporate League Online Qualifiers with the Grand Finals to be held in Singapore later this year. This is not only your chance to experience the thrill of professional esports but you might also get to represent your company at the regional level!

Thunder Esports Tour Tournament Rules


The following are the official rules and regulations of Esports Tour which apply to both registered and invited participants. The following rules and regulations do not limit the level of competition and gameplay. By participating in this tournament, you automatically subject yourself to the listed rules and regulations listed below.

 

1.  Registration and Participation

  1. This tournament series is open for players who reside in the Philippines, and meet the following requirements:
    • A full team of 5 players with an optional substitute player must be provided.
    • Teams must be able to head to the various venues at the allotted dates and times.
  2. By registering, teams acknowledge that all usage of photos, videos, and any form of recording during the tournament have been given legal consent by the players for media and marketing purposes.
  3. Team and player names that are found to be offensive/vulgar will not be tolerated by the organizers and a request of name change is allowed during and before the competition. Participants who do not follow this instruction will be disqualified.
  4. The registered email and contact number per team will be used to receive further instructions for the qualifiers. The email and contact number owners are responsible for sharing information to their team.

2.  Tournament Streams

  1. Teams that are found to be abusing the tournament streams will be disqualified immediately and will be denied tournament winnings for this action or any action that is abusive.
  2. Teams will be asked to act gracefully when the game is streamed, no vulgar words, taunting or spamming is allowed. Any dispute should be directed to the tournament admins directly for any issues. Any teams that is found not following this rule will be disqualified immediately regardless if the game is streamed or not.

3.  Conduct

  1. Participants must be responsible of their actions. Any participant that violates the player conduct will be penalized, including disqualification from entering further qualifiers and the current qualifier that the teams are participating at.
  2. Participants are expected to respect their fellow participants and all the MET Events staff. Participants shall not make any indecent, impolite or insulting actions or gestures towards the aforementioned parties.
  3. Participants are prohibited from being vulgar and spamming, both in-game and in the communication platform.
  4. Betting is strictly forbidden between participants and will not be tolerated.
  5. Agreeing on losing on purpose will also be considered as a disqualification if found out by the organizers.
  6. Participants are advised to be humble and to be strict with each other on enforcing these rules for smooth flow of the tournament.
  7. Any dispute may be directed to the tournament admins through the tournament’s communication platform.

4. Qualifier Venues

  1. The venue and dates for the Dota 2 and CSGO:
    • Cebu – Mineski Infinity Cebu, Unit 7, GQS Plaza, M. Cuenco Ave., Brgy. Kasambangan
      1. Dota 2 will be played on June 22
      2. CSGO will be played on June 23
    • Cagayan de Oro – Mineski Infinity CDO, 2nd Floor One Monte Carlo Bldg, Corrales st corner Hayes st
      1. Dota 2 will be played on June 29
      2. CSGO will be played on June 30
    • Pampanga – Mineski Infinity Angeles, 1F Gloans Building. Brgy. Sto Rosario Cor. Lakandula St. Angeles City
      1. Dota 2 will be played on June 29
      2. CSGO will be played on June 30

5. Mall Event Qualification and Mobile Legends Qualifiers

  1. The top 4 Dota 2 teams and top 2 CSGO teams from each city will qualify to play in their respective city’s mall event.
  2. The Mobile Legends Qualifiers and Finals during the Mall Event dates
  3. The venues and dates for the mall events are as follows:
    • Cebu – August 3, SM Seaside – South Road Properties, Cebu City
    • Pampanga – July 20, SM Pampanga – Brgy. San Jose, San Fernando, Pampanga
    • Cagayan de Oro – July 6, SM Cagayan de Oro Uptown – Brgy. Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental
  4. If a qualified Dota 2 or CSGO team cannot make it to the mall event, they must immediately contact tournament staff so that arrangements for a replacement can be made.

6. Main Event Qualification

  1. Each mall event will produce a different number of teams that will qualify per game to the main event.
    • Cebu: 1 team per game
    • Pampanga: 2 teams per game
    • Cagayan de Oro: 1 team per game
  2. Venue for the main event will be SM North EDSA in Metro Manila.

7.  General Tournament Rules

  1. Participants must follow the schedule mentioned in the tournament admins and may not agree to a time that is suitable for participants to be playing at.
    • All tournament schedules will be communicated to participants by the tournament admins.
  2. Participants may not use force outside the game to influence the outcome of the game . Severe punishments such as disqualification will be imposed and will also be banned from further tournaments run by the organizers.
  3. Participants will be required to report their victories to the tournament admins on site.
  4. The following are considered illegal and will be punished:
    • Creating/Exploiting Bugs.
    • Account Sharing/Piloting.
    • Deliberate Disconnection: Deliberately disconnecting for improper or unclear reasons is prohibited and will be punished.
    • Cheating: Using any kind of device or third-party program to cheat, or using any resembling means to cheat. Conspiring to cheat also falls under this category, and the involved parties will be dealt with accordingly.
  5. Any dispute may be directed to the tournament admins through the tournament’s communication platform.

8. Rules for Dota 2

  1. Format:
    1. Qualifier: single elimination. All matches are Bo1, except for deciding qualifier matches, which are are Bo3. The top 4 teams will advance for the mall event.
    2. Mall event: single elimination bracket. All matches are Bo3.
      • Cebu: 1 team will qualify to the main event
      • Cagayan de Oro: 1 team will qualify to the main event
      • Pampanga: 2 teams will qualify to the main event
    3. Main event: single elimination bracket, all matches are Bo3.
  2. Side selection:
    • In-game coin flip will be used to decide picks and sides.
    • Bo3: sides switch after the first game. If a third game is needed, sides will switch again
  3. A match can only start with five (5) players on each team
  4. Players will be using their own accounts and devices
  5. Heroes that have been released within the past two weeks of the date of the qualifier are not allowed for use
  6. Maximum pause time of 5 minutes. Teams must call their assigned admin immediately after the pause to present the reason for the pause
  7. All teams must present screenshots in case of a dispute

9. Rules for CS:GO

  1. Format:
    • Qualifier: single elimination, all matches are Bo1. Top 2 teams will advance to the mall event.
    • Mall event: finals match only, Bo3
      • Cebu: 1 team will qualify to the main event
      • Cagayan de Oro: 1 team will qualify to the main event
      • Pampanga: 2 teams will qualify to the main event
    • Main event: single elimination bracket, all matches are Bo3
  2. A match can only start with five (5) players on each team
  3. Lobby creation will be done with the assistance of an admin
  4. Map pool: Inferno, Train, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, Dust II, and Vertigo
  5. Side selection is as follows:
    • Bo1: Coin flip. Team that wins the coin flip decides if his/her team is A or B in map veto. Loser selects the side for the map.
    • Bo3: Coin flip. Team that wins the coin flip decides if his/her team is A or B in map veto. When A picks a map, B selects the side. When B picks a map, A selects the side. If the game goes to game 3, knife round is used to determine the side.
  6. Map vetos are as follows:
    • Bo1: ban ABABAB, last map remaining is played
    • Bo3: ban AB, pick A, pick B, ban AB, last map is the map used for game 3
  7. 4 tactical timeouts per team per map will be given, including time out. Each tactical time out lasts 30 seconds long.
  8. Technical timeouts can be called, but will need admin verification.

 

10. Rules for Mobile Legends

  1. Format:
    • Qualifier: single elimination. All matches are Bo1, except for deciding qualifier matches, which are are Bo3. The top 4 teams will move on to the second day of the mall event.
    • Mall event: single elimination bracket. All matches are Bo3.
      • Cebu: 1 team will qualify to the main event
      • Cagayan de Oro: 1 team will qualify to the main event
      • Pampanga: 2 teams will qualify to the main event
    • Main event: single elimination bracket, all matches are Bo3.
  2. A match can only start with five (5) players on each team
  3. All qualifier matches will be played onsite.
    • For qualifiers: players will make their own lobbies. Teams will engage in a ping check, wherein the team at the top of the bracket hosts the lobby to check if both teams’ pings are playable. If it is not, the team at the bottom of the bracket hosts to check. If both lobby hosts are unagreeable, you may ask a tournament admin to decide for you. You must present the pings of each player for each lobby so that the admin can make a fair decision.
    • For the second day  of the mall event and main event: tournament servers will be used and hosted by tournament admins. Ping checks will be done before the start of a match to check if each team’s ping is playable. All games will be streamed.
  4. Side selection:
    • For qualifiers: side choosing is based on bracketing.
      • For Bo1: Game 1 priority always goes to the team on top of the bracket.
      • For Bo3: admins will do a coin flip for each series.
  5. Maximum pause time of 5 minutes per team. Teams must explain to their assigned admin the reason of the pause. Admins can  enforce disqualification due to unexplained pauses, depending on the situation.
  6. All teams must present screenshots in case of a dispute.

11. Prize Pool

  1. The total prize pool for each mall event is 30,000 PHP. The breakdown is as follows:
    1. Dota 2:
      1. 1st place – 5,000 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 2,500 PHP
      3. 3rd/4th place – 1,250 PHP each team
    2. CSGO:
      1. 1st place – 6,500 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 3,500 PHP each team
    3. Mobile Legends:
      1. 1st place – 5,000 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 2,500 PHP
      3. 3rd/4th place – 1,250 PHP each team
  2. The total prize pool for the main event is 910,000 PHP. The breakdown is as follows:
    1. Dota 2:
      1. 1st place – 210,000 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 120,000 PHP
      3. 3rd/4th place – 60,000 PHP each team
    2. CSGO:
      1. 1st place – 100,000 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 50,000 PHP
      3. 3rd/4th place – 25,000 PHP each team
    3. Mobile Legends:
      1. 1st place – 130,000 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 70,000 PHP
      3. 3rd/4th place – 30,000 PHP each team

Before sixteen of Asia’s best PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds teams gather for the MET Asia Series: PUBG Classic. This is now the best time for one of the officially biggest Southeast Asia PUBG esports “PUBG SEA Championship 2019 – Season 2” Which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on June 29-30

MET Events, the leading esports event organizer in Asia, has teamed up once more with PUBG Corporation and official hardware brand Predator to  host the PUBG SEA Championship Season 2: Bangkok. Joining Divine Esports and Armory Gaming, last year’s winners, are 14 teams from Thailand (4), Vietnam (4), Indonesia (3), Philippines (2), and Malaysia/Singapore (1). The top two (2) teams that will emerge from the qualifying rounds will earn the right to represent the country at the PUBG SEA Championship Season 2: Bangkok.

The PUBG SEA Championship Season 2: Bangkok is set to kick off on June 29-30, 2019 at the Thailand Esports Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The best three teams from the regional league will move on to the bigger MET Asia Series: PUBG Classic, where 300,000 USD plus an additional regional slot to the PUBG Global Championship 2019 are at stake.

The tournament is taking place on July 26-28 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), deep within the heart of Thailand, Bangkok.

Weeknight Showdown Season 2


After the unprecedented success of its maiden voyage last year, Weeknight Showdown is back to serve a wider audience of gamers in the Philippines. Tournament Rules – Weeknight Showdown Season 2


 

The following are the official rules and regulations of Weeknight Showdown Season 2 which apply to both registered and invited participants. The following rules and regulations do not limit the level of competition and gameplay. By participating in this tournament, you automatically subject yourself to the listed rules and regulations listed below.

 

1.    Registration and Participation

  1. This tournament series is only open for players who reside in the Philippines, and meet the participation requirements per game.
    1. For Magic The Gathering Arena: qualifiers will be played onsite. The top 16 matches will be broadcasted.
    2. For Apex Legends: invited players must be able to commit to go to the MET Events studio on designated Fridays in order to be streamed.
    3. For Dota 2 Auto Chess and Mobile Legends: each team must commit to the time that has been set by the organizers. All games will be handled through online coordination with tournament admins.
  2. Apex Legends will not have qualifiers as it will follow a different format than the rest of the games. All Apex Legends participants will be invite-only.
  3. Players who cannot commit to their assigned schedules may be disqualified and replaced.
  4. Team and player names that are found to be offensive/vulgar will not be tolerated by the organizers and a request of name change is allowed during and before the competition. Participants who do not follow this instruction will be disqualified.

2.  Tournament Streams

  1. Teams that are found to be abusing the tournament streams will be disqualified immediately and will be denied tournament winnings for this action or any action that is abusive.
  2. Teams will be asked to act gracefully when the game is streamed, no vulgar words, taunting or spamming is allowed. Any dispute should be directed to the tournament admins directly for any issues. Any teams that is found not following this rule will be disqualified immediately regardless if the game is streamed or not.

3.  Conduct

  1. Participants must be responsible of their actions. Any participant that violates the player conduct will be penalized, including disqualification from entering further qualifiers and the current qualifier that the teams are participating at.
  2. Participants are expected to respect their fellow participants and all the MET Events staff. Participants shall not make any indecent, impolite or insulting actions or gestures towards the aforementioned parties.
  3. Participants are prohibited from being vulgar and spamming, both in-game and in the communication platform.
  4. Betting is strictly forbidden between participants and will not be tolerated.
  5. Agreeing on losing on purpose will also be considered as a disqualification if found out by the organizers.
  6. Participants are advised to be humble and to be strict with each other on enforcing these rules for smooth flow of the tournament.
  7. Any dispute may be directed to the tournament admins through the tournament’s communication platform.

4.  General Tournament Rules

  1. Participants must follow the schedule mentioned in the tournament admins and may not agree to a time that is suitable for participants to be playing at.
    1. All tournament schedules will be communicated to participants by the tournament admins.
  2. Participants may not use force outside the game to influence the outcome of the game . Severe punishments such as disqualification will be imposed and will also be banned from further tournaments run by the organizers.
  3. Participants will be required to report their victories to the tournament admins on the communication platform.
  4. Internet connection is the participant’s personal responsibility. The organizers will not be held liable for any issues that arise from a participant’s internet connection.
  5. The following are considered illegal and will be punished:
    1. Creating/Exploiting Bugs.
    2. Account Sharing/Piloting.
    3. Deliberate Disconnection: Deliberately disconnecting for improper or unclear reasons is prohibited and will be punished.
    4. Cheating: Using any kind of device or third-party program to cheat, or using any resembling means to cheat. Conspiring to cheat also falls under this category, and the involved parties will be dealt with accordingly.
  6. Any dispute may be directed to the tournament admins through the tournament’s communication platform.

5. Rules for Magic The Gathering Arena

  1. Qualifier and top 16 format: single elimination, best-of-3 with sideboard.
  2. All players are required to submit a decklist to the tournament admins before the start of the tournament. Players may adjust their decklist until a specified time period dictated by the tournament admins.
  3. Players may adjust their decks or switch their decks entirely from the qualifier if they make it to the top 16.
  4. Tournament matches will be played on-site at the MET Events studio (3rd floor, JM Raymundo building, Balete Drive, Quezon City)
    1. Players are required to submit screenshots of their victories to tournament admins in order to advance in the bracket.
  5. Top 16 matches will be broadcasted.

6. Rules for Dota 2 Auto Chess

  1. Qualifier format: maximum 12 groups of 8 players, 2 games played. Maximum number of participants will be 96 players.
    1. The number of groups and how many players per group will be adjusted on the final player count after registration. Total number of players that advance will be 12 players.
    2. A screenshot of each game showing the final standings must be submitted to the tournament administrators so that they can update the standings.
  2. Group stage format: two groups of 8 players, 9 games played. 4 players will be directly invited and placed evenly into the groups. Top 4 players per group advance to the finals.
  3. Finals format: one group of 8 players, 9 games played.
  4. All games will be played online.
    1. Group stage and finals will be streamed. Invited players must go to the MET Events studio for them to be streamed.
  5. Ranking system: players are given points based on when they are eliminated from the match. Players eliminated first are given 8 points, the second eliminated player gets 7, and so on. The last remaining player is given 1 point. The goal of players is to have the lowest amount of points after all the games in order to qualify for the next stage.
  6. The group stage and finals will be broken down across nine days:
    1. May 13: Group A, games 1-3 will be played
    2. May 15: Group A, games 4-6 will be played
    3. May 17: Group A, games 7-9 will be played
    4. May 20: Group B, games 1-3 will be played
    5. May 22: Group B, games 4-6 will be played
    6. May 24: Group B, games 7-9 will be played
    7. May 27: Finals, games 1-3 will be played
    8. May 29: Finals, games 4-6 will be played
    9. May 31: Finals, games 7-9 will be played

7. Rules for Apex Legends

  1. Solo challenge format will be used. Each day will have only one participant who will be streamed at the MET Events studio.
  2. There will be 8 play dates for the challenge, with one participant per date. The entire session will last for 4 hours, with designated breaks in between games. These dates will be communicated by the tournament admins.
  3. Points will be as determined by the following categories:
    1. Points per kill: 20
    2. Points for final placement:

8. Rules for Mobile Legends

  1. Qualifier format: single elimination, best of 1.
  2. Top 16 format: 4-group GSL double elimination, best of 3.
  3. Top 8 format: single elimination, best of 3. Finals is Best of 5.
  4. Qualifiers will have a 128-team limit.
  5. All games will be played online.
    1. For qualifiers: players will make their own lobbies. Teams will engage in a ping check, wherein the team at the top of the bracket hosts the lobby to check if both teams’ pings are playable. If it is not, the team at the bottom of the bracket hosts to check. If both lobby hosts are unagreeable, you may ask a tournament admin to decide for you. You must present the pings of each player for each lobby so that the admin can make a fair decision.
    2. For top 16 and top 8: tournament servers will be used and hosted by tournament admins. Ping checks will be done before the start of a match to check if each team’s ping is playable. All games will be streamed.
  6. Side selection:
    1. For qualifiers: side choosing is based on bracketing. Game 1 priority always goes to the team on top of the bracket, game 2 goes to the team at the bottom of the bracket. Should a match need a Game 3, the priority goes to the loser of game 2.
    2. For top 16: admins will do a coin flip for each series.
  7. Banned heroes, if any, will be announced by the tournament admins.
    1. Heroes that have been released within two weeks before the start of the qualifiers and top 16 are banned.
  8. The top 16 and top 8 matches will be broken down across four days:
    1. Day 1: Round of 16 Group A – 5 matches, 2 teams advance
    2. Day 2: Round of 16 Group B – 5 matches, 2 teams advance
    3. Day 3: Round of 16 Group C – 5 matches, 2 teams advance
    4. Day 4: Round of 16 Group D – 5 matches, 2 teams advance
    5. Day 5: Quarterfinals – 4 matches
    6. Day 6: Semifinals, Battle for Third, Finals – 4 matches

9. Prize Pool

  1. Each game will have a prize pool of 50,000 PHP
  2. The breakdown of the prize pool for each game is as follows:
    1. Dota 2 Auto Chess:
      1. 1st place – 15,000 PHP
      2. 2nd place – 10,000 PHP
      3. 3rd place – 7,500 PHP
      4. 4th place – 5,500 PHP

Tournament Rules – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Diamond Challenge Series


The following are the official rules and regulations of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Diamond Challenge Series which apply to any teams who registered and invited teams. The following rules and regulations do not limit the level of competition and gameplay.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.    Registration and participation

A.     Teams can be consists of 5 members (compulsory) and 1 substitute (optional)

B.     This tournament is open for Philippines and permanent residents living in the country.

C.     Each team must commit to the time that has been set beforehand by the organizers.

D.     Team names/player names that are found to be offensive/vulgar will not be tolerated by the organizers and a request of name change is allowed during and before the competition, teams that are found not following this will be disqualified immediately.

2.  Tournament Streams

A.     Teams are not allowed to stream snipe the stream during the match.

B.     Teams that are found to be abusing the tournament streams will be disqualified immediately and will be denied tournament winnings for this action or any action that is abusive.

C.     Teams will be asked to act gracefully when the game is streamed, no vulgar words, taunting or spamming is allowed. Any dispute should be directed to the tournament admins directly for any issues. I.      Participants of MPL-PH Season 3 are not allowed to join in this tournament.

4. Tournament Bracket

A.     No team limit.

B.     All matches will be played online.

C.     The tournament is in single elimination mode.

D.     Groups will be separated depends on how many teams.

E.     Top 8 teams participating must have a distinguishing uncopyrighted team logo.

5. Match Rule

A.     A match refers to the games being played between team A and Team B ( bo1, bo3 or bo5).

B.     A game refers to the current game being played between team A and team B.

C.     The mobile application to be used is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Developer: Moonton).

D.     Match starts – The team on the top of the bracket will have the choice for which side they play. For best-of-three series, a coin toss will be made. The winner of the coin toss will have the choice for which side they play on the first game of the best-of-three series. The other team will choose sides on the second game.

E.     Match ends – The first team to destroy the opposing team’s Base wins, the first team to surrender loses or teams that are found not following the rules disqualified.

F.     The game mode used in: Tournament Mode

G.     If any player disconnects during a Top 8 match that is hosted by the admins, they can request a MDC Official to pause the game for the player to reconnect. The max pause time of one team is 5 mins. Marshalls have the right to extend the time.

H.     Once all players are ready, as indicated by both Team Captains, the MDC Official will resume the game.

I.     In the case of a server crash, the game can be continued from a new draft but has to be the same lineup.

J:     In the event of a technical difficulty which leads the MDC Officials to declare a restart, the MDC Official may instead award:

      1. a game victory to a team. If a game has been played for more than 5 minutes on the game clock (00:05:00), MDC Officials, at their sole discretion, may determine that a team cannot avoid defeat to a degree of reasonable certainty. The following criteria may be used in the determination of reasonable certainty:
      2. The teams total net worth differences must exceed 800 x minute of the game. For example, 20 minutes into the game, Team A holds a net worth of 20,000 while Team B’s net worth at 38,000. The difference in net worth is 18,000. 800 x 20minute = 16,000. The difference in net worth of 18,000 is greater than 16,000, hence Team B is deemed victorious.
      3. In the situation where the difference in net worth is less than 800 x minute, the game has to be remade.

6. Tournament Flow

6.1 Pre-match preparation

  1. Schedule changes

The MDC Officials reserve the right to reschedule, make changes to the dates of MDC or alter the schedule in any other way or form. All teams will be informed of any changes made by MDC Officials at once.

  1. Early Check In

Teams must check-in at the Discord the time set by the admin before for preparation for every round/day they participate in the tournament.

  1. Game Version

The game version used will be decided by MDC Officials, use of newly released heroes, heroes with recent balance updates and those with known bugs may be temporarily banned. The duration of the ban will be determined by MDC Officials.

  1. Preparation Time

Players are free to prepare after their check in. However, the players must enter the lobby at the agreed match time schedule.

  1. Match starting time

In the most optimal situation, any problems faced by the players should be solved during the set preparation time. The match should be started at the scheduled time. Match may be delayed if MDC Officials deem it to be necessary. If the reason for the delay is due to player fault, the MDC Officials reserve the right to penalise the player or team accordingly.

  1. In-game Lobby

The MDC admin will create the in-game lobby for matches that are to be livestreamed. The players should follow the instructions from the MDC admin on how to enter the in-game lobby.

  1. Technical support

MDC Officials will provide technical assistance during matches hosted by them preparation to solve any problems that may occur.

6.2. Match preparation

  1. Pick/Ban Process

All the Top 8 teams will go through the coin toss process to determine their picks and bans. The referee/marshall will ensure both teams are ready to enter the pick/ban phase after players from both teams have entered the in-game lobby. Once both teams are ready, the referee will inform the in-game lobby admin to start the game.

  1. Game setting
    1. Map: Tournament Mode (5V5)
    2. Game type: Draft Pick

6.3 Pick/ban phase and pick priority

  1. Game restrictions

If there is presence of a known bug in any device, hero, skin, emblem, or any skill, or any other reason determined by MDC Officials, the MDC Officials may add in a restriction at any time before or during the match.

  1. Pick process
  • Best of 1 – Team that is in upper bracket of a match has pick priority.
  • Team that is in a lower bracket of a match will create a lobby.

Example:-

  •   Best of 3 – First game – Coin toss , 2nd game alternate pick priority , third game alternate.
  •   Best of 5 – First game – Coin toss , 2nd game alternate pick priority, third game alternate, fourth game alternate pick priority, 5th game new coin toss.
  1. Pick Priority
    1. Draft Pick

The pick/ban order will follow the default sequence set in the game.

    1. Wrong pick

If a team has picked/banned a hero by mistake, the game will still be continued. There will be no remakes due to wrong pick/ban.

  1. Swapping heroes

If there is a mistake due to player negligence when swapping heroes, the match will still continue. Exchanging devices is not allowed under any circumstance.Pick priority will only be applied to the grand finals team who are from the upper bracket . They  will have the pick priority coming into the grand finals.

  1. Game starts after pick/ban phase

The game will immediately start after the pick/ban phase unless there are other instructions from the referee/marshall. MDC staff will remove any irrelevant items from the game zone. Players are not allowed to leave the game in between the period after pick/ban phase is complete until the game starts.

  1. Connection problem

If a problem occurs during game loading due to the presence of a bug, disconnection or other errors and a player fails to join the match after the game has started, then the game must be paused until all 10 players are connected to the game (this is only valid for hosted matches).

For matches where there are no referees present, it is the players responsibility to ensure that their data connection is good.

6.4 In game

  1.    Pauses are allowed during officially-hosted team fights if it is a critical error such as
  •     More than 3 players disconnect / crashes during the game.
  •     Both teams devices are unplayable.

Definition of team fight – more than 1 player from one team is engaged ( skills or normal attack ) with another team with more than 1 player also involved in the exchange of blows.

  1 Marshal will be present in the official-hosted game as observers to pause the game if necessary.

6.5 After game

  1. The captain of the winning team must submit the screenshot result in Discord with the hero icon (not avatar icon). In the case there’s no updates after some time, kindly notify the marshals about it.

7.Tournament preparations

7.1 Tournament conducts

  1. Please come prepared on the time mentioned by the admins.
  2. Teams must follow any instructions from the admins.
  3. Players are to conduct themselves appropriately during the tournament time frame when interacting with admins or other players.
  4. For any accusations/report, proofs must be submitted (e.g an opponent team forfeiting their match – a screenshot of the conversation must be attached) for the marshals to determine the legibility of it.

7.3 Penalties

  1. Failure to follow the schedule timing . Teams will be penalized in this order:

10 Minutes Late  : Disqualified from the match  ( Free win to the opponent )

  1. Failure to report to the admins in case of emergencies ( not able to attend ) or player change /Team name changes / Logo changes :
    1. 1st Warning Team Changes : Team will lose pick priority for the whole tournament
    2. 2nd Warning Team Changes: Will be banned from MDC for a season.
    3. 3rd Warning Team Changes: Will be banned from MDC for a year.
  1. Players Misconduct:
    1. 1st Warning of Player Misconduct: Team will lose pick priority for the whole tournament/Default loss.
    2. 2nd Warning of Player Misconduct: Will be banned for the next season of MDC.
    3. 3rd Warning of Player Misconduct: Will be banned from MDC for a year. Depending on the severity of the player misconduct, penalties may be changed accordingly.

The examples of player misconduct:

  • Being rude/inappropriate/using vulgar words when dealing about tournaments.
  • Submitting false match results.
  • Providing no proof of opponents forfeiting their matches.
  • Certain issues can be discussed with the admin in case of relevant cases that we may dismiss based on discussion and proof of said issue.

*THIS PUNISHMENTS IS FOR THE ORGANIZATION MANAGING THE PLAYERS AND THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES. TEAMS WHO OWNS THIS PLAYER WILL BE FOLLOWING THE RULES STATED HERE AND MAY NOT ATTEMPT TO SHORTEN / BANISH THE PUNISHMENT ONTO SAID PLAYER, THE MANAGEMENT WHO DIRECTLY MANAGES THE PLAYERS WILL NOT BE UNBAN FROM THE LIST IF THEY HAVE RECRUITED NEW PLAYERS TO THE TEAM. NEW PLAYERS WILL EXPERIENCE THE SAME CONSEQUENCES BY JOINING THE  BANNED ORGANIZATION*

Season 2 concluded with the surprising coronation of a brand new king of PH ML:BB. There are no guarantees on the road to becoming your own legend. The Qualifiers

Registration for the Open Qualifier will kick off on February 8-15, 2019 before the Open Qualifier proper takes place on February 16-17, 2019. The tournament’s Main Qualifier will take place on February 23-24, 2019. Click the registration link below to test your ML:BB skills against the toughest teams in the country.

Day 1 Qualifier Schedule:

  • Round 1: 1 PM
  • Round 2: 2 PM
  • Round 3: 3 PM

  • Round 6: 6 PM (if registration exceeds 512 teams)

Quarter Final Matches and 5-6th placement matches will be schedule the next day. All matches will be broadcast on the official Mobile Legends Online PH Facebook page.
