Tournament Rules – Globe PPGL Season 3 – Arena of Valor

Total Prize Pool: PHP 100,000

  • Champion: PHP 50,000
  • 2nd Place: PHP 25,000
  • 3rd-4th Place: PHP 12,500

 

RULES

  1. PLAYER AND TEAM CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Players are responsible for reading tournament rules, team registration and procedures.
  • Players are responsible in disseminating all information regarding the qualifiers to their team members.
  • Players are responsible for adding their assigned enemy before the scheduled match.
  • Team Captains are responsible in gathering their own members prior the start of the match.
  • Team Captains are responsible for communicating with marshals for tournament purposes.
  • Team Captains are responsible in reporting any match disputes to the marshals within ten (10) minutes of the matches finishing. Valid visual proof is necessary to validate the dispute.
    • Any disputes after the 10-minute mark will be subject to the decision of the marshal whether to pursue or not. Marshals hold the final say regarding the dispute.
  1. TOURNAMENT FORMAT
  • Matches will be played with a best-of-three mode, via Custom Match (5v5 Tourney) MODE.
  • If the match reaches a third game (tie at 1:1); it will still be a Custom Match (5v5 Tourney) MODE.

 

  1. ATTENDANCE
  • A match can only start with a full party of five (5) players on each team.
  • A team that is missing one or more players will be given a 10-minute grace period, if the respective team is still not complete, that team will be disqualified and forfeit the whole match.
  • If the opposing team does not show up during the scheduled match, proof must be presented through screenshots with a timestamp.
    • Timestamps can be done by dragging the tab at the upper screen to show the time on the device.

 

  1. CONNECTION
  • If a player gets disconnected during pick and ban phase after everyone has already chosen their heroes, same picks and bans apply.
  • If a player is disconnected mid-game, they must reconnect as soon as possible.
  • Players are not allowed to pause the game unless instructed by Marshal/Admin and if necessary.

 

  1. CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants must not engage in harassment or hate speech in any form. Appropriate penalties will be dealt to offenders, up to a ban from all future MET events. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hate speech, offensive behavior, or verbal abuse related to sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, or religion.
  • Stalking or intimidation (physically or online).
  • Spamming, raiding, hijacking, or inciting disruption of streams or social media.
  • Disregarding Administrator’s directives and decisions.
  • Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
  • Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes, unwelcome sexualized comments, jokes, and sexual advances.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

 

  1. CHEATING

Cheating does not need be successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is already a violation and will lead to an automatic disqualification for all conspirators. Appropriate penalties will be dealt to offenders, up to a ban from all future MET events. Examples of cheating include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Ghosting
  • Account Sharing
  • Piloting
  • Using unauthorized third-party applications mid-game

 

  1. DISCLAIMER
  • MET holds exclusive rights to the coverage of any related matches, whereas MET may grant rights to a third-party entity.
  • MET holds the right to stream any match from the tournament.
  • MET and its staff are the only entities allowed to spectate a match.
  • MET holds the rights to change rules as it deems fit.
