MET Announces Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines


MET, Asia’s top esports tournament organizer, has announced the beginning of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL Philippines). The MPL Philippines will be a national Mobile Legends league which will seek to crown the best Mobile Legends players in the Philippines.

The MPL PH is a weekly Mobile Legends tournament for budding professional Mobile Legends players in the Philippines with USD 100,000 prize pool. Teams will have the chance to qualify for the league through three separate qualifiers which will be held throughout the month of April. The online qualifiers will determine which teams will advance to the weekly regular season starting May 12, 2018.

“We are excited to tap into the vibrant esports scene of the Philippines. We are sure that the Filipino fans of Mobile Legends will rise to the challenge of the MPL,” said Cherry Xia, Vice President of Moonton.

Being the first professional Mobiles Legends league in the country, MPL PH will give players the chance pursue their esports dreams. Players will be able to start their story as they compete with the rest of the hopeful Mobile Legends players across the Philippines. The Philippines is known to have a large Mobile Legends player base that will surely be excited to rise to the challenge of the MPL.

Tournament Schedule

Qualifier Stage

  • April 14-15, 2018
  • April 21-22, 2018
  • April 28-29, 2018

Regular Season

  • May 12, 2018 – June 10, 2018

Main Event

  • June 29, 2018 – July 1, 2018

The weekly regular season will take place on Saturdays and Sundays across 5 weeks. The best Mobile Legends teams from the regular season will earn their spots in grand finals of the MPL set to take place on June 29 – July 1, 2018.

The Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines will officially start on April 14, 2018 and all interested aspiring Filipino mobile players are invited to become part of the country’s first professional league for Mobile Legends and start their own story.
