ESL One Genting 2017

We once again partnered with ESL to help bring their vision of ESL One Genting to fruition with our help as Southeast Asia’s leading esports ourgnizer. The result was the successful premier Dota 2 LAN held in Malaysia’s own Arena of Stars in the Genting Highlands with a $250,000 prize pool.

The reigning TI champs at the time, Wings Gaming, received a direct invite to the event alongside Southeast Asian power team Fnatic and the West’s Digital Chaos, as the first three of eight total competing teams. After a grueling three days of internationally-televised Dota 2 action, an exciting five-game grand finals between Newbee and Digital Chaos saw the US-based international roster of DC winning the grand prize.

The stakes were high for us as well with the event being the first premier Dota 2 tournament of the new year but with the help of the hype Malaysian crowd and the fantastic display of competitive Dota 2 shown at the tournament, we managed to start the year of great esports events right with ESL One Genting.
